TRIP TO TIOMAN ISLAND 

Hi ✌ my name is normasliana binti mustafa kamal, i would like to share a my happiness moments with my families. We had so much fun and spend time together at Tioman Island, Pahang for 3 days 2 nights. Tioman Island, Pahang is arguably one of Malaysia most popular tourist destinations located off the Southern East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. 

Journey to Tioman Island, Pahang takes around 1.5 hours. There are few jetty stop at Tioman depending on which beach resort you stay. I stayed at Genting Coral Resort, a reasonably well-priced resort located at Kampung Genting which is the first stop. If you are not sure which stop you are supposed to get off, you can always confirm with the ticket counter and they will be glad to assist you.

Kampung Genting is a vibrant village with a lot of duty shop, local coffee shops and beach resorts. Local usually get around the village by bike or motorbike.

Genting Coral Beach Resort is around 6-minute walk from the jetty and i was greeted by Mr. Awang at the lounge. Mr. Awang was very helpful in giving me a tips about getting around the island as well a breifing me the variety of group tours that they offer including snorkeling trip, asah waterfall trip, round island trip and so on. If you are traveling solo or in small group, they will normally group you with the other guest and inform you the tour changes upon confirming the total signups.

My first activities to explore the island was a jungle tracking course to Paya Beach recommended by Mr. Awang. From resort, just walk towards the jetty and continue straight along the path. Renggis Island is one of the sonerkeling hotspot in Tioamn which is not included in our original snorkeling outing package. Howeover, as we had to give Tulai Island a miss, our guide Mr Awang brought us to Renggis to make up for it. Although there are the more fishers here at Renggis, my favourite is still Malang Rock as the corals at Malang Rock were more colourful and visibility was also clearer.

After snorkling at Renggis, we headed back to Genting to rest and our dinner.If you are wondering what other sumptuous local delicacies Tioman has to offer, i highly recommand Aguna Resort seafood fried rice. it was the best seafood fried rice i 've tried so far in my life! most of the beach resort on Tioman has their own kitchen and you can just walk in to order their menu.

It's already my final day here at Tioman and ferry was scheduled to leave Tioman at 2pm. I almost forgot to mention about my last meal at Tioman. If you stay at Genting you should definitely try this malay food stall called Prathe Beach located just next to the jetty. Its roti planta was featured on national television TV3. They also sell main courses like fried rice, fried noodles and burgers.

The journey back to the mainland took almost 3 hours instead of 1.5 hours because the ferry had pick up tourists from Paya Beach and Tekek before heading west to the mainland. so just keep that in mind if you are arranging plans after your Tioman trip.

To sum it up, although Tioman Island is popular island it is still possible to have a relaxing gateway because the beach is not too populated. The surrounding might not be as clean as the likes of Rawa Island , Besar Island and Sibu Island but i think as long as you choose a decent resort like Genting Coral Beach, you should still find Tioman Island to be a paradise .
